Don’t worry, you are not alone! Tech Support rage is rampant. When I saw this article in the newspaper the other day, I actually laughed out loud remembering all too well being lost in tech support hell oh so many times!!
And although I’m not usually a believer in conspiracy theories, I always suspected that poor tech support was somehow, deliberate.
Apparently, according to a recent survey by the International Customer Management Institute, or ICMI, 92 percent of customer service managers said their agents could be more effective and 74 percent said their company procedures prevented agents from providing satisfactory experiences.
So, is there a solution? Is better tech support possible – yes, it is, but you will have to pay for it. And if you don’t want to pay? Well, the solution is up to you – Control your temper because losing your mind will not help resolve the problem any faster. Take a breath. Use social media instead of calling and if you do call, try the sales department where an agent will surely pick up, because they will definitely want to upsell you!!
